The DLK Tournament

David Kaltman left, with fellow angler Marky Mann

The David L. Kaltman Memorial Golf Tournament was started in 1986 by a group of David’s closest friends as a way to remember him through doing one of the things he loved best, playing golf.  The tournament has grown and been played in his honor every year since his untimely passing.  We hope you will make every effort to join us this year as remember David, celebrate his passion for golf, and continue to raise money for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).

Our 37th Annual Tournament in David’s memory will be held at Poolesville Golf Course on September 23, 2023, with a 7:00 am shotgun start.  The $100 fee will include greens fees and a golf cart with proceeds going to MADD.

Eric Smith and Jerome Bullock won last year’s tournament.  Can they repeat?  We look forward to seeing of all our fellow golfers back at PGC this year.

If you are not already on our mailing list and would like to register to play in this year’s tournament, please fill out the comment form below and we will be certain to contact you.  We hope soon to have a registration form posted on the website with information where to send the form and a check for the tournament fee.

SCRAMBLE FORMAT

The DLK MGT is a two person, Scramble Format. USGA rules govern except as follows:

All players tee off (men from white tees, women from red tees). The two person team selects the best location of the two balls hit and then take their next shot from within one club length. However, the club length cannot put the ball closer to the hole and may not improve the situation (i.e., from rough to fairway). Continue in this manner until the ball is holed.

INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION

Longest Drive in the fairway on hole nos. 9 and 18.

Closest to the Pin on hole nos. 8 and 13.
